Ryan E. Chenevey, M.D.

Ryan Chenevey, MD, grew up locally in Wayne and Richland counties where he attended Smithville schools and graduated high school from Mansfield St Peter’s. He joined Wooster Eye Center in 2020. Dr. Chenevey earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. After graduating from Denison, he attended Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University’s Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Chenevey is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. His specialty areas include refractive cataract surgery, medical retina including intravitreal injections, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries.
Dr. Chenevey is a member of the Joint Conference Committee at Wooster Community Hospital. He serves on the Executive Leadership team for the Wayne County Heart Walk and is a Board Member for the Wayne Center for the Arts as well as the Ohio Ophthalmologic Society.
He enjoys outdoor sports and spending time with his wife, daughter, and son.
